Are you booking with the intent to hold an event open to the public?

If so, your reservation may qualify as a Special Event and require a permit from the City of Sherman Parks and Recreation Department. Special Events are activities on City property that draw large attendance, are publicly advertised, or include elements such as amplified sound, food vendors, alcohol, inflatables, stages, or other large equipment. They may also require City services such as police, fire, or sanitation.

Private gatherings (birthdays, reunions, casual picnics) usually do not require a permit unless they include the features above.
